Elderly woman performs immaculate dance at old-age home in Chennai
Skill and talent cannot be confined by age, and a new video of a 95-year-old woman dancing to an iconic Tamil song is a testament to it. The viral video shows the woman gracefully performing an immaculate dance on ‘Oh Rasikkum Seemane’ at Vishranthi Home for the Aged in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
The woman is believed to be a student of Kalashetra Foundation in the 1940s and has been a part of movies like ‘Chandralekha’ as a background dancer.
Sharing the video on X, Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) officer Ananth Rupanagudi wrote, “At Vishranthi Home for the Aged, this lady, aged 95, danced for this old Tamil number during a programme. She is believed to have been a student of Kalakshetra Foundation in the 1940s and is said to have danced in movies like Chandralekha (1948).”
