Nita Ambani also encouraged the team to stay 'as happy as it can be'
The Ambani family is grieving the loss of their beloved golden retriever, Happy, who passed away on April 30. Happy was a familiar and cherished presence at numerous family gatherings, including the grand celebrations for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding.
Nita Ambani recently opened up about the loss during a video call with the Mumbai Indians team. In an emotional moment, she said, “So happy Mahela that you said ‘Happy’ and Hardik said ‘Happy’ because we lost our dog Happy last night. It is nice for everybody to say Happy! Happy! Happy! Just feels very good. We are remembering him in a happy way.” Her words moved the team.
Nita, after talking about Happy, also encouraged the team to stay upbeat and spirited. “With that, I’d like the Mumbai Indians to cheer, to be as happy as it can be,” she said. After the call, the MI players huddled together for their customary chant, Corbin Bosch led the team in an uplifting cheer – one that served not only to boost morale but also to honour Happy’s joyful spirit.
