With rental flat rates skyrocketing in Mumbai, buying a house in the city remains a dream for many. However, Ashish Jain, a diamond merchant by profession, recently made it possible by purchasing a flat in Mumbai for his parents, and the gesture has now struck a chord online.

Unaware of the development, Jain’s parents stood in disbelief. The now-viral video shows him handing over the flat’s papers and a nameplate to his parents, who were under the impression that the new house was a rented one. As the video progresses, Jain announces the news to his parents, making them emotional.

He further emphasises that he bought the new house for his parents. The video also captures his mother staring him in disbelief, while his father hugs him, plants a kiss on his cheek, and dances with joy. Jain then hands over the key to his parents and says ‘Ye ghar aapka hai (this house is yours)” with a smile.

“Their Happniess >> Everything,” Jain captioned the video.

In October, a video of a man from Uttar Pradesh purchasing a house for his parents in the United States went viral. The techie, in the video, shared that he also gifted a BMW X7 to his parents.

“My parents have made countless sacrifices so I could get the best education. They sent me to one of the best schools in Mathura and saved every penny for my engineering fees by cutting their own expenses and taking loans,” he said.
