MS Dhoni: The Untold Story which is due to release on September 30 can easily pass off as one of the most awaited films of the year. Not because Sushant Singh Rajput is the lead actor but because it’s a biopic on the one of the country’s favourite cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
And going by Sushant’s experience, Dhoni himself is a great actor. “He (Dhoni) is a very good actor. If you watch one of the videos we did, where he is asking me what’s there in the film, the scripted lines were just five-six. I came up with some lines, just like that and he reacted on them. Then I reacted, then he did. So he is a very good actor,” he said in an interview.
And we don’t disagree with the Kai Po Che actor because well, Dhoni, in fact, was approached for a film and even agreed to act. In 2010, Dhoni acted in a film called Hook Ya Crookdirected by David Dhawan. The film had John Abrahan as its lead actor and was based on a cricketer’s life but unfortunately it never got a chance to release. It also had Kay Kay Menon and Genelia D’Souza.
The film’s IMDB page still has Dhoni’s name in it.
He shared this piece of news in a short video he did for the film with Sushant. Interestingly, Dhoni is very active in the promotion of the film clicking pictures, making videos and sharing on social media.
MS Dhoni: The Untold Story has created a lot of buzz ever since the release if its teaser and people just can’t wait for the movie, justifiably so.
