Over the years, Facebook has often proved to bridge differences and re-unite people. Malayalam filmmaker Major Ravi would most certainly toast to that.

The director, who is credited with several blockbusters in the Kerala film industry, on November 9 posted a video of a girl who sings extraordinarily well at what appears to be a school assembly session. Ravi posted the video asking for the girl’s contacts so that he could approach her to sing in his next venture.

The rest is what transpires on Facebook quite often — the video went viral. The video was shared more than 8,000 times and still counting.

Within two days, the filmmaker declared on his page that he was on his way to Wayanad to meet Shahna, the owner of that magical voice.

He later posted pictures of his meeting with Shahna along with a video of the girl child singing again.

“Nice to see the sparkle in her eyes. How nice to see someone happy. I am so happy to see shahana and her friends, teachers and parents. God bless! ‪#‎Shahana‬,” wrote Ravi.

And there you go, Shahna could well be on her way to become a popular playback singer, thanks to Facebook.

Take a look.
