Madhya Pradesh hospital transforms into wedding venue; groom carries ill bride in arms for ‘saat phere’

A government hospital in Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh became the backdrop for an unforgettable wedding. Aditya Singh and Nandini Solanki had their hearts set on tying the knot on Akshay Tritiya, a day considered auspicious, but life had other plans.
A week before their big day, Solanki fell seriously ill. She was first admitted to a hospital in her hometown of Kumbhraj, but as her condition worsened, she was moved to Binaganj, and eventually to Biaora, nearly 50 km away from her hometown, where she received more intensive care. Although her health improved, doctors advised strict bed rest, making a traditional wedding impossible. With the next auspicious date two years away, both families decided to take the wedding to her.
The hospital administration offered full support. The outpatient department (OPD) area was cleared and modestly decorated, turning the medical facility into an impromptu wedding venue. Singh arrived with his baraat, though out of consideration for other patients, there was no band or loud celebrations.
At 1 AM, the couple began their wedding rituals, surrounded by family, doctors, and nurses. The most moving moment came when Singh, gently, lifted Solanki, and carried her around the sacred fire for the saat phere, as flower petals rained down on them.

A video capturing the ceremony went viral, striking an emotional chord online. “Love turns every impossible into possible,” one user commented, while others responded with heart emojis and blessings for the couple.
Doctors shared that Solanki’s condition was critical a week earlier, but that she is recovering well. The wedding, though unconventional, was a testament to love, determination, and the kindness of those who made it happen.
