A young driver reportedly fell asleep inside his car in the middle of a road near Athirampuzha Palli Junction in Kerala’s Kottayam, triggering a major traffic jam.
Kerala Kamaudi, a local website, reported that the man was tired after driving and stopped his car on the road before falling asleep. The unusual incident soon disrupted traffic in the area, with several motorists getting stuck.
When commuters and residents approached the vehicle, they discovered the driver asleep at the wheel. The report said they tried several times to wake the man but failed.

“The driver had apparently become tired while driving and decided to stop, but instead of moving the car safely off the road, he fell asleep inside it with music still playing. His car soon caused a major traffic jam, leaving several vehicles, including a KSRTC bus, stuck behind him,” an Instagram handle @indiathatsbharat wrote while sharing the video.

‘Hope he gets himself tested’
The video has since gone viral across social media platforms, prompting a deluge of reactions and safety concerns.
“And none of them thought it could be a medical emergency or death,” a user wrote.
“I am honestly happy that he decided to park and sleep on the side rather than falling asleep while driving and causing accidents,” another user commented.

“Poor guy was so exhausted that he probably thought he was parking in a safe spot. Either that or he lost consciousness cos of a medical condition. Hope he gets himself tested cos this could have had bad consequences if it happened in the dark,” a third user reacted.
