pune mom fb post, pune mom swati chitalkar, pune mom bank employee fb post viral, viral fb posts, viral posts, motherhood, motherhood lessons Inspirational indeed. Swati Chitalkar has been applauded for her tenacity – both as a mom and as an employee. (Swati Chitalkar/Facebook)

We all know moms make huge sacrifices for their kids, not only that, they pretty much define the word multitasker. From taking care of the home, to every whim and fancy of their children and family members, and should they be working, they have to handle everything at office without breaking a sweat as well.

Most, in fact, do all that and more.

This multitasking – tough as it already is – becomes even tougher when her darling child is unwell, right at the time when there is an urgent deadline. That is exactly what happened to this Pune mom, Swati Chitalkar, whose kid was unwell with fever. Though she would have probably preferred to care for her child at home, but there were pressing matters at work and she just had to go.

Chitalkar then shared a post on her Facebook page, which instantly went viral. Posting a picture of herself working at her desk with her feverish child lying on the floor behind her, Chitalkar said: “Its not a baby on a floor ,its my heart on the floor. He was fully fevered not ready to stay with any body. As half day is over I couldn’t take leave in between and a urgent release of loan was there . but I could manage to mind my both the duties. Just want to convey the message to ministers who sleeps in assembly”.

This message ended up being received in two ways – while one segment applauded the mother on balancing her duties as a mother and as a conscientious bank employee, others read it as a comment on politicians who aren’t doing their duty. In a comment later, Chitalkar explains: “I just wantes (sic) to say that all we common public work sincerely if all politician and upper post do the same how nice and prosperous our future India will be….”

This photo highlights the challenges faced by working women, who try to fulfil all their duties. It’s really heartening to see so many people coming in support of Chitalkar by sharing her message. At last count, the post had been shared close to 15,000 times. The lady herself seemed very surprised at how the post had been received, and even posted a second message, saying, “Motherhood itself is such a Strong power to take care of her baby. It does not required any sympathy , empathy, appreciation or publicity to follow her duties.
Dear friends my earlier post which you all shared in number of thousands, was a straight forward message by a common people like me to my Heroes to whom we send in a Assembly. Please don’t change the direction of my message by taking it otherwise. Thank you”.
