IndiGo remains under public scrutiny as widespread flight cancellations continue to cause inconvenience to travellers nationwide. And the internet is flooded with light-hearted memes, triggering a laughter riot.
A viral video of an “IndiGo autorickshaw” is grabbing eyeballs. Shared by content creator Shailendra Singh, the AI-generated video shows him cruising in an autorickshaw designed to look exactly like an IndiGo aircraft.
The vehicle sports the airline’s signature blue-and-white palette, with aircraft-style wings and a tail rudder. In the video, Singh drives the customised auto, flashes a thumbs-up, and then the vehicle lifts off the ground and soars into the sky, leaving viewers equally amused and bewildered.
Industrialist Harsh Goenka shared the video on X, saying, “IndiGo’s new fleet: no delays, no diversions…. and very reasonable.”

The video prompted numerous reactions, with one X user commenting, “perfect considering their Aircraft’s are flying off nightclub for absconders”. “IndiGo’s management is one of the most irresponsible management, being giants doesn’t mean government will let you through,” another user commented.
“Since their wings aren’t helping, they are using wheels now,” a third user reacted.
Meanwhile, IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers met Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu on Tuesday to discuss the disruptions. Following the meeting, the minister said the airline had been advised to temporarily reduce its routes by 10 per cent, assuring that “all destinations would continue to be served”.
IndiGo, for its part, announced that refunds for “all cancelled flights up to December 6” had been processed.
