A King Cobra, almost 15 feet long, was rescued from underneath a car by a trained snake catcher.
IFS officer Susanta Nanda shared the video on Twitter Thursday and it has received more than 12,000 views.

For a lot of people, snakes can be the most menacing creatures and even one glimpse of the reptile can send a shiver down their spine. With the onset of rain, snakes venture out of their habitats and people need to be careful of their presence.
An Indian Forest Service officer shared a video of a King Cobra almost 15 feet long being rescued from underneath a car. IFS officer Susanta Nanda shared the video on Twitter Thursday and it has received more than 12,000 views.
The King Cobra was rescued by a trained snake catcher, Nanda said. Using a pointed pole, the man masterfully held the snake and made it roll into a long bag. The snake was then released into a forest.
“King Cobra’s are vital in the food chain for maintaining balance in nature. Here is one nearly 15 feet long rescued & released in the wild. Entire operation is by trained snake catchers. Please don’t try on your own. With onset of rains, they can be found in all odd places,” Nanda wrote as caption.
