Mundu-clad boys dance to Backstreet Boys' 'Everybody'
With their catchy tunes and electrifying videos having captivated audiences for decades, the American boy band Backstreet Boys has always enjoyed a substantial fanbase in India. Now a group of four mundu-clad men, who shot to fame with the Malayalam dance reality show D 4 Dance, are making waves on the internet with their slick moves to the 1997 iconic BSB hit ‘Everybody’.
Donning violet mundus, white shirts, and flip-flops, they execute moves choreographed by Taajju Rajil, who is also seen performing. The video was shared on the Instagram handle 74xmanavalans. The caption read, “In the world of ordinary, we are the extraordinary Manavalans: Where uniqueness is woven into every fabric. This video? Just another brushstroke on our canvas of distinctiveness.”

The clip has already garnered more than 5 million views on the platform and was also liked by actor Ayushmann Khurrana along with countless other reactions from netizens. Reacting to it, a user commented, “Never realised we needed this!” Another, clearly thrilled, wrote, “Ayo somebody tag backstreet boys. this is lit.”
“This should go to India’s Got Talent or better Amerias Got Talent,” a third user was seen encouraging the group, while yet another comment admitted to how the video was simply uplifting, “After a very long time, this just lifted my spirit up… awesome guys. Enjoyed every bit of it.”
Earlier, the group had performed to Michael Jackson’s ‘Billie Jean’ in vibrant green mundus and their signature flip-flops. The video amassed over 15 million views on Instagram, prompting reactions from their fans and celebrities including singer Raftaar.
The account 74xmanavalans enjoys a fanbase of over 1,90,000 followers on Instagram and consistently shares quirky dance videos.
