A video from Greater Noida has gone viral after a man’s attempt to flaunt his driving skills spectacularly backfired, earning him a massive fine. The clip, featuring a black Maruti Suzuki Baleno zipping through a city street and performing reckless drifts, caught the attention of not only the internet but also of the Noida Traffic Police.

In the video, the Baleno can be seen racing down a busy road as another car records the scene. The driver then swerves sharply, drifting at high speed before coming to an abrupt stop by the roadside. At first glance, it appears to be just another flashy street stunt video, until the end reveals an unexpected twist.

The final frame shows an image of a traffic challan slapped on the vehicle, with a staggering fine of Rs 57,500 for rash and negligent driving. The clip, shared on X, was captioned, “A guy performed stunts with his car on the streets of Greater Noida. Noida Traffic Police took action and imposed a fine of Rs 57,500. Good job, @Noidatraffic.”

The Noida Traffic Police confirmed the action on social media, writing, “Taking cognizance of the said complaint, action has been taken to issue an e-challan (fine of Rs 57,500/-) in accordance with the rules against the concerned vehicle for violation of traffic rules.”

The video has already racked up close to 3 lakh views, sparking a wave of reactions online. Many praised the swift action by authorities, while others demanded stricter penalties. One X user wrote, “Should have seized his car as well.” Another commented, “The fine is not for the antics the driver did. But for the owner who took the audacity to show it off in a ‘hopeless Baleno’.”

Not everyone was impressed, though. “He will not pay the challan for 6 months and it will reduce to 1000 rupees or settle in Lok Adalat for nominal amount. What is the point,” one commenter wrote. Another chimed in, “Cancel the driving license of this idiot. Make him wait for 2 years before the next license application.”
