Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s ‘Mangal Utsav’ on Saturday was attended not only by Bollywood celebrities but also by content creators. Dolly Singh, who made her debut with Rhea Kapoor’s ‘Thank You For Coming’, impressed her fans with her Indian chic look. However, an unexpected conversation about her body with a woman prompted the actor-creator to speak up.
On Monday, Singh revealed that she was skinny-shamed by a woman who first sweetly lauded her for her work and swiftly commented on her looks. “Good morning! Okay, I have to tell you guys about an achievement of mine last night. Okay! It’s a big deal for me. I met someone and they were very sweet in general I mean they were ‘I watch your work’,” Singh says in her Instagram story.

“But then the conversation instantly turned into comments about my body. ‘Aap toh bhot skinny ho yaar real life mein. Aap camere pe toh thik dikhte ho par real life mein aap bhot hi zyada skinny ho (you are so skinny in real life. You look fine on camera but you look so skinny in reality),” she adds.
“They kept saying it and I am like you know aap aisi baatein kisi ke muh pe nahi bolte ho (You don’t say such things to someone’s face). So she’s like no no I don’t mean it like that you look so good,” Singh says.
