In shocking CCTV footage, a dog walker was seen brutally thrashing a golden retriever in an elevator of a Gurugram apartment complex. According to reports, the incident happened at Orchid Gardens in Sector 54 on May 9.
The video shows the man, seemingly a dog walker, hitting the dog with a litter scoop. He did not stop and further hit the dog’s head. As the video progresses, one can see the man trapping the dog’s mouth in the litter scoop and hitting it in the head.
Sharing the CCTV footage, an X user Vidit Sharma wrote, “Disturbing to see animal cruelty on the rise with little attention from mainstream media. Ignoring it only fuels aggression in our furry friends. It’s time to speak up and take action. Let’s protect both human and animal well-being.”

In another thread, Sharma shared the details of the man caught hitting the pet dog. According to the WhatsApp screenshot, the owners of the dog were notified and necessary action is being taken against the man.

The shocking video, with over 60,000 views, sparked outrage on social media. Reacting to it, a user commented, “What the hell. Has he been arrested ? Why do pppl employ useless walkers ? For God’s sake take your own pet yourself.” Another user wrote, “Poor kid. Every hit just breaks my heart. How cruel.”
“Action must be taken against this person who might be doing it for some perverted sense of fun,” a third user reacted.
In February 2023, two men were arrested after a video of them punching and kicking a dog at a pet clinic in Maharashtra’s Thane went viral. The video showed the employees repeatedly punching the Chow Chow dog in the face while one of them filmed the incident.
