A video showing a man smashing an Ola Electric scooter with a giant hammer outside the showroom has fuelled the online chatter over Bhavish Aggarwal’s company. According to the X post that shared the video, the showroom allegedly issued a Rs 90,000 bill to the customer’s name.
“The showroom made a bill of Rs 90000, the customer got upset and broke the scooter in front of the showroom,” the post read.

The said video amassed nearly a million videos, prompting fresh backlash against Ola. “They should at least offer scrap value. It may be also a good business since parts can be salvaged and provided to other users since with ola it is always ‘parts not available’,” a user wrote.
“And this guy @bhash was looking at parts delivery by drones. @bhash automotive is a deep research and development and delivery industry. It’s not an app .. No matter how much you squeeze your employees, results will be the same,” another user commented.
“This is why I dropped the plan of buying ola @bhash top of all this I enquired many time but highly dedicated ola customer care team didn’t even bother to connect at least!” a third user said.
In September, a 26-year-old man was arrested for allegedly setting fire to an Ola Electric showroom in Karnataka over poor customer service. According to reports, the customer, identified as Mohammad Nadeem, was facing servicing issues with the scooter within a few days of buying it.
