Chetan Bhagat wants Pakistan to be renamed as ‘Terroristan’

Pakistani Twitterati obviously retorted.

Author Chetan Bhagat who is extremely vocal on social media about his opinion and often gets trolled for it, said, in a series of tweets, that Pakistan should be renamed to “Terroristan”. “We keep renaming our cities and roads. Why don’t we at least rename Pak to #Terroristan? I think India and even the world should address Pak by its new name: Terroristan #Terroristan,” he tweeted.

The tweets came after Pakistan’s Prime Minister Naraz Sharif’s speech at the 71st session of United Nations General Assembly where he said that Hizbul commander Burhan Wani, who was killed in July, was a “young leader”. He also said that Pakistan was a victim of terrorism. His speech drew a lot of flak in India and got a befitting reply from the country’s representatives at the event. MEA spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted out in response to Sharif’s speech at UNGA saying that Pakistan PM Sharif was “in denial of Uri terror attack”. Minister of State for External Affairs M J Akbar said glorification of Hizbul commander Burhan Wani by him at the world forum is an act of “self-incrimination” by Pakistan.

Bhagat seems to be really angry at Sharif’s speech and also called for Section 370, which grants special status to Kashmir, to be repealed. “Seeing Kashmir politicians wary of criticising Pak. How is Indian army supposed to guard us then? This Article370 must go,” he tweeted.
