A video of a Supreme Court hearing wherein Chief Justice of India (CJI) D Y Chandrachud and senior advocate Dinesh Dwivedi exchanged a candid conversation on Holi and alcohol is winning hearts on social media. Reports said the conversation happened during a hearing on industrial alcohol.
Shared by ‘Law Today’ on X, the video shows senior lawyer Dinesh Dwivedi apologising for his colourful hair. “Apologies for my colourful hair. It is because of Holi. This is the disadvantage of having a lot of children and grandchildren around. You can’t save yourself,” he says.
Replying to him, CJI Chandrachud jokingly says, “Nothing to do with alcohol.” To this, Dwivedi replies, “It does. Holi means partly alcohol. And I must confess, I am fond of whiskey.” The SC then continued with the hearing.
