A video showing a heated argument between a cab driver and a woman passenger over fare and drop-off location has created a viral moment leaving the netizens with mixed reactions.

Meanwhile, the company also responded to the incident with an apology for its customer.
The woman booked a ride using the inDrive app.

The video shows the driver getting agitated and raising his voice when he notices the woman recording a video of their conversation on her mobile.

The woman is heard telling the driver that she goes on the same route every day and the fare shown on the app is Rs 95 whereas the driver demands Rs 5 extra. The driver tells her that she has to pay extra because he is dropping her further than the location shown on the map but she refuses to relent. The woman says she is not being dropped at the right location and accuses him of asking extra.

InDrive India, in its reply, said they would assess this matter through an internal enquiry.

The behavior displayed by the driver is absolutely not tolerated on our platform, and we are committed to taking decisive measures to address such incidents, as the safety of our customers is paramount to us. Our dedicated team will thoroughly assess this matter through an internal inquiry. We kindly urge the individual who posted about this to get in touch with us privately. Any further details you can share would be immensely valuable to us. Thank you,” it said.

“Most friendly cab driver from Delhi,” a user commented. “She is risking safety for few rupees? Wow,” said another. “One of the drivers from InDrive took an extra 200 Rs, claiming it was due to traffic, and he became aggressive. Fearing for my safety, I gave him the extra money to diffuse the situation and ensure my well-being,” wrote a third.
