A pillion rider in Bengaluru was recently seen trying to avoid a traffic challan by wearing a frying pan instead of a helmet, leaving the Internet stunned.

The incident, which took place in the Roopena Agrahara area, drew attention from both passersby and the traffic police.

Sharing the video, X handle @karnatakaportf wrote, “The sight left onlookers and traffic cops equally stunned, as the rider confidently balanced his kitchen utensil like it was an ISI-certified helmet. But let’s be real this isn’t just funny, it’s frightening. A frying pan can flip an omelette, not save a skull. Helmets aren’t optional fashion accessories or props for viral reels they’re lifesavers.”

The video quickly drew attention, prompting a flurry of reactions. “Only in Bengaluru can traffic get so wild that cookware turns into protective gear. The man really said, ‘safety first, breakfast later.’ Imagine the cops trying not to laugh while writing that challan, it’s peak Indian innovation on a budget,” a social media user wrote.

“The commonly observed helmet in traffic is the construction helmet/ hard hat, whilst the crash helmet is designed for protection against vehicle accidents, the hard hat is ONLY used for safety from dropping objects. Unfortunate that our police officers don’t know the difference,” another user commented. “His wife must be searching something in kitchen!” a third user reacted.
