Stan Lee, the Marvel Comics boss, and prolific creator of iconic superheroes of the 20th century passed away in Los Angeles on Monday. The death of the 95-year-old legendary writer-editor who revolutionised comic book industry and helped make Hollywood billions, left fans nostalgic and sad. As fans saluted the iconic personality, tributes flooded social media. Amul too paid homage to the superhero creator in its latest topical.
Celebrating Lee’s colourful and dynamic personality, the Indian dairy brand deviated from its usually solemn monochromatic obituary posts. With a tagline, “A marvel of a man,” the brand saluted the star in a brilliant wordplay resonating the sentiments of fans. Featuring the true Marvel hero with his signature back-brushed hair, glasses and moustache, the cartoon portrays Lee dancing with his popular characters like – Spider-Man, The Hulk, Thor and Captain America in the backdrop.

As a writer and editor, Stan Lee was key to the ascension of Marvel into a comic book titan. In the 1960s, when in collaboration with others, he created superheroes who would enthrall generations of young readers. His creations also proved to be immensely successful as films and led to a huge franchise of Marvel Cinematic Universe, where Lee made a cameo appearance in every Marvel film.
