Tata-owned Air India has recently come under scrutiny over its poor management and food services. In a new viral post, X user Manisha Singhal claimed that the airline cabin crew members were accommodated in a shabby hotel after “hunting” for hotels for four hours.
Sharing pictures of the room the crew members were finally “offered”, Singhal wrote, “Again. Again. Yet Again!!! @airindia if you want to be a world class airline, you do not treat your fatigued crew on a scheduled layover flight this way. You simply DO NOT.”
“Hunting / wrestling for hotel rooms for four hours after a flight- and this is what is ‘offered’! No bedsheets, towels, basics??? ‘Imagine we stayed in Taj and Marriott,’ someone who saw better days quipped.
Those days are over, for sure, but this trade off is sub-par. And a sleep deprived, shabbily treated cabin crew will hold that grudge – forever. May be the fatigue will show in experience your fliers will have! Dignity cannot be a trade off for Cost rationalisation. Period,” she claimed.
The viral photos show a single bed without a bedsheet. Two chairs and a table can be seen beside it. The second picture shows an unorganised reception area with a wooden stool and a chair around the counter.

With over 5,40,000 views, the post accumulated several reactions. Many X users expressed their shock. However, Air India has not yet responded to the viral post.
Reacting to Singhal’s post, a user wrote, “Yikes, this seems very shabby. In so many respects, not just the physical appearance. Quite unacceptable.” Another user commented, “The harsh reality of the country’s airlines is truly shameful.”
“You must be joking! Even the lowest of low cost carrier will not treat its crew so shabbily,” a third user said.
