A Mumbai guy filed a RTI asking if the government is prepared for a zombie attack on India! Seriously

"Can we do it without Will Smith" is one of his questions.

Believe it or not, there have been zillions of queries filed under RTI which can be separately categorized as weird and senseless. There was an RTI asking if Prime Minister Narendra Modi had acted in Ramlila and what’s his number. An RTI was sought asking what was Mahatama Gandhi’s IQ, another asking how many trees are green in the country and someone also wanted to know why her ‘ladoos’ sent to former US President George W. Bush on ‘Rakshabandhan’ did not reach him.

But this one filed by Mumbai’s Ajay Kumar probably tops the list.

This guy wants to know if the government of India is ready to face invasion by aliens, zombies, and extra-dimensional beings.

Here’s what he exactly wants to know.

I am concerned about the readiness of our Government in the event of an invasion by Aliens Zombies and Extra Dimensional Beings.

Can the Ministry of Home Affairs tell me

What plans are in place for protecting the public in the event of an invasion by Aliens or Zombies and Extra Dimensional Beings

What are our chances against them

What means does the Government have at its disposal to defeat them

Can we do it without Will Smith

Okay, so he actually asked “Can we do it without Will Smith”! You have to give it to him for his imagination and reference to Will Smith saving the day just like in his 1996 sci-fi Independence Day.

The picture of the RTI took the Internet by surprise after it was posted on Twitter by journalist Abhimanyu Ghoshal who also loved the last request. “Dude files RTI request about whether Indian govt. can handle a zombie outbreak. Included my favourite part of request,” he wrote.

But the post was originally posted on Facebook by the page in June but went viral only today.

On second thoughts, if the guy would have tweeted the question to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, chances are he would have got an unforgettable response given her history of responses to such questions.
