Comedian Jo Brand applauded for asking all-male panel on air to take sexual harassment seriously

A comment by panel member Ian Hislop on Westminster allegations stating that some weren't "high-level crime" seemed to have triggered comedian Jo Brand, who decided to shut the misconception in one go.

After Harvey Weinstein’s sexual harassment case, many talks surrounding the topic have come up. People all around the world, including actors, comedians and known personalities, are openly coming out and speaking about the issue. Instead of brushing off the matter, people are addressing it and highlighting the gravity of the situation. Something similar happened during BBC’s satirical quiz Have I Got News For You, where English comedian and actor Jo Brand, who was also the guest-host on the show, decided to take a stand when the male participants chose to underplay and dismiss a recent parliament Westminster scandal, which has led to the suspension of Charlie Elphicke.

In his comment about an MP taking his personal trainer to the cinema, team captain Ian Hislop jokingly stated that some of the Westminster allegations weren’t “high-level crime as compared to compared to Putin or Trump”. This seemed to have triggered Brand, and being the only woman on the panel, she calmly yet sternly chose to speak about the issue and set things straight for once. Here is what she said:
