Popular Indian chef Vikas Khanna added another feather to his cap as his most-talked-about restaurant in New York, Bungalow, won the Michelin 2024 Bib Gourmand Award. On the occasion, Khanna penned a heartwarming note for his homeland and late sister.
Sharing his photo with the Tricolour, the MasterChef India fame chef wrote, “260 days of Bungalow & today we received the Michelin 2024 Bib Gourmand Award. While I’ve previously received the Michelin Star 8 times, today felt different. I felt that it was for some higher purpose, it was like a tribute, it was like a promise to my land and to my people. To my sister.”

“This is just the beginning. We will work harder & harder everyday to give our guests an experience that will be a testament to Indian hospitality,” he added.
Several users extended congratulatory messages to Chef Khanna. “Heartiest congratulations, Chef, on earning a Michelin Star! This incredible achievement is a testament to your passion, dedication, and relentless pursuit of excellence in showcasing Indian cuisine to the world,” a user wrote. “That’s amazing. Congratulations can’t wait to visit your restaurant. I’m manifesting it,” another user commented.
Vikas Khanna has hosted several celebrities, including Isha and Mukesh Ambani, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and others, at Bungalow.
In September, Khanna shared a video of the preparations ahead of the Ambani’s visit at his restaurant. The video showed the Michelin Star Chef welcoming Isha and Mukesh Ambani with six different varieties of roses and Ganga Jal.

According to Bungalow’s official Instagram page, it “offers a nostalgic journey into India’s vintage clubhouses.
