We’re all aware of the viral phenomenon and how it can get one a few days of fame or infamy. These days, many take to social media to become famous by way of making videos that go viral or writing posts that have the potential to go viral. This has become one of the most tried ways to get your name out there in the audience of billions. But it has its cons and apparently, it’s driving people crazy.

Social media fame. This is probably what this aspiring rapper and hip-hop artist Kasper Knight was thinking when he shot himself in the face and did a Facebook live while doing the same.

In the video, which has been removed from Facebook now, he put the gun to his right cheek and pulls the trigger. There’s a hole in his cheek and blood starts oozing out of his mouth.

“I don’t give a f*** about nothing anymore. I swallowed the bullet,” he says.

Reportedly, explaining the video, he wrote that it’s not the first time that he has shot himself in the face but has done it a couple of times earlier. “So I did it myself since I felt like taking a bullet to the face. Anyway, this was really nothing. I’ve been shot a couple of time before and this was like a 4 out of 10 on the pain scale after the initial impact. I look slightly disorientated after the blast. That’s because my ears were ringing in pain. It was hard to focus on sound and although I assumed that I swallowed the bullet I wasn’t quite sure,” he wrote.

A lot of people on social media have criticised his act but for them, his message was, “deal with it”.

“I don’t give a f*** whether you want me to live or not unless you are paying me MONEY. Your care for my life will never supersede my disregard for it,” he wrote.

The video is disturbing. You can watch it here.
