Veteran actor and politician Jaya Bachchan expressed strong objection in the Rajya Sabha after Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh addressed her using her husband’s name. When called upon to speak, Singh said, “Shrimati Jaya Amitabh Bachchan ji, please.” Jaya Bachchan responded, “Sir, sirf Jaya Bachchan bolte to kaafi hojata (It would’ve been enough to call me just Jaya Bachchan).” Singh clarified that her name is officially registered as Jaya Amitabh Bachchan in Parliament’s records.

Landslides ravage Wayanad

In Wayanad, landslides have destroyed homes, roads, and vehicles, trapping many people. The Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) has sent fire brigade and the National Disaster Response Force teams to the area. The clip, shared by ANI, shows them draped in the tricolour, beaming with pride as they pose for the cameras.

Insect in burger

Mumbai-based food vlogger Anshika was appalled to discover a dead insect in her Burger King burger. In an Instagram video, she revealed the insect embedded in the patty of her half-eaten meal. Anshika sought compensation for “mental agony and health suffering”, but the company’s offer was limited to either burgers or an Amazon voucher, which she deemed insufficient for covering potential medical costs. Additionally, she reported that it took Burger King three to four days to issue an apology.

Hilltop Taylor Swift spectacle

A video showing over 40,000 fans packed onto Munich’s Olympic Hill to catch Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has gone viral. The hill, or Olympiaberg, is one of the highest points in the city, providing a great vantage point of the open-air stadium. On Saturday, around 25,000 fans gathered, and many returned on Sunday, bringing friends along to experience the concert once more. The Eras Tour concert in Munich was a sellout, drawing a crowd of 74,000.
