Just when you thought beauty pageants are more predictable than not, Steve Harvey comes with a moment that makes you regret not waking up at 5.30 am IST to see gorgeous women from across the ‘universe’ sashay down the ramp. As Harvey erred in announcing the name of the Miss Universe winner on Sunday evening in Los Angeles, the world stood stunned for a second not quite knowing how to react. And, yes, we all did feel for Miss Colombia as she stood still, tears in her eyes — possibly wearing the crown for the shortest time ever.
Though the crowds cheered for Miss Philippines Alonzo Wurtzbach, the real winner of Miss Universe 2015, the Internet — as usual — had much to say about Harvey’s big blooper. And it didn’t help that his apology had typos as well.

Steve Harvey announces wrong winner of #MissUniverse2015, takes back the crown and moves it to another head. THIS IS HOW BEAUTY WARS START.

Wrong Miss Universe for one minute is not close to the outrage we should have had when Jeb Bush gave the election to the wrong guy in 2000.
