Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Kazan, Russia, on Tuesday, to attend the 16th BRICS Summit that began on October 22 and will conclude on October 24. On his arrival at the hotel, PM Modi received a grand welcome with beats of dhols and a large gathering from the Indian diaspora in Russia.

A few Russian artistes performed “Krishna Bhajan,” a devotional song dedicated to Lord Krishna. In a video shared by ANI, several Russian women—dressed in colourful traditional Indian costumes––can be seen giving a well-choreographed dance performance while PM Modi is seen appreciating the performance with folded hands. The video also captures the Indian diaspora waving the tricolour and filming PM Modi.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi witnesses a dance performance by the artists of the Russian community at Hotel Korston in Kazan. He is here to attend the 16th BRICS Summit, being held under the Chairmanship of Russia. The Prime Minister is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts from BRICS member countries,” ANI wrote on X.
