American baseball team Philadelphia Phillies took a jab at the now-viral Coldplay concert moment involving Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and Head of People Kristin Cabot, a clip that’s had the Internet buzzing.
The infamous footage, captured during the band’s concert in Boston, shows the pair sharing a cozy embrace on the kiss cam, a moment made even more awkward by the fact that Cabot is reportedly married to another CEO, as revealed by the Daily Mail. The publication also reported that Astronomer has launched an internal HR probe following the incident.
Fast forward to Friday night, baseball returned from the All-Star break and the Phillies seized the moment during their game against the Los Angeles Angels at Citizens Bank Park. With Coldplay’s Speed of Sound playing, the team’s kiss cam scanned the crowd, landing on couples who happily leaned in for a kiss.
But the real punchline came when the screen cut to the Phillies’ mascots. Standing in a nearly identical pose to Byron and Cabot from the viral footage, one mascot quickly ducked out of frame while the other turned away, mimicking the now-notorious attempt to hide from the camera. The crowd erupted in laughter, seeing the mascots trolling the executives.
The jumbotron later zoomed in on a fan in the stands holding up a homemade sign that read, “This is my wife,” with “is” boldly underlined. That got another big laugh from the stadium — and when the man sealed it with a kiss, the place cheered like it was a walk-off homer.

The video went viral and drew reactions in comments. A user wrote, “Dude will never cheat again on nobody after all of this.” Another user commented, “Omg imagine being that guy, the hr lady or their spouses? I feel bad for all of them.”

At a recent Coldplay concert at Boston’s Gillette Stadium, a seemingly light-hearted moment took a dramatic turn when the kiss cam landed on two attendees — Byron and Cabot — who clearly weren’t expecting the spotlight. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, on seeing their reaction, said, “They’re either having an affair, or are very shy.”
Byron, who is married, had his arms around Cabot as the two swayed to the music. But once they realized they were on the big screen, the mood shifted, Cabot buried her face in her hands while Byron appeared to drop to his knees, as the crowd erupted in laughter.
The clip quickly went viral, prompting intense online chatter. Adding to the buzz, Byron’s wife, Megan, removed her last name from her social media profiles shortly after the footage gained traction.
In response, the company involved issued a statement Friday saying, “Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability,” and confirmed that its Board of Directors has launched a formal investigation. It also said, “We will have additional details to share very shortly.”
