Britain’s Labour Party MP, Jo Cox, was killed on Thursday by a gun-and-knife wielding attacker in her small-town constituency Birstall in West Yorkshire, a week before the crucial referendum on UK’s EU membership. Police confirmed that they arrested the suspect who was a 52-year-old man named Tommy Mair. Here is how leaders mourned her death on Twitter.
The death of Jo Cox is a tragedy. She was a committed and caring MP. My thoughts are with her husband Brendan and her two young children.
