In a video shared by People Magazine on Instagram, a tar-like substance can be seen thrown at Aniston. Neatly dressed in a white shirt and pants, Aniston can be seen losing her cool soon after.
“Season 4 of #TheMorningShow looks like it’s going to be a wild ride for #JenniferAniston’s character, based on video from set today,” People Magazine wrote.

The video generated massive buzz among Aniston’s fans who wondered if the actor was attacked by real-life protesters. However, the video was shot while filming a scene for the popular show.
Reacting to the video, a fan commented, “It was for the show. Nice misleading lead.” Another fan wrote, “So I haven’t personally seen the show and now I’m going to have to see it because I straight up just thought The Morning Show was a talk show and I thought this happened on the side of a talkshow somewhere.”
“It wasn’t a protest ,, it was on the scene !!” a third fan reacted. “We need that lip reader still – even if staged – cause I need to know what’s happening this season!” another fan wrote.
The Morning Show, which also stars Reese Witherspoon, Billy Crudup, Julianna Margulies, Great Lee and others, recently received several Emmy nominations including Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Witherspoon and Aniston.
