Google Doodle: On October 25, Google paid tribute to the late Indian singer KK (Krishnakumar Kunnath), marking the anniversary of his Bollywood debut, with a vibrant animated doodle. It was on this day in 1996 that he first lent his voice to the song Chhod Aaye Hum for Gulzar’s political thriller Maachis.

The doodle features KK passionately singing into a microphone. In their explanation of the doodle, Google wrote, “This Doodle celebrates Krishnakumar Kunnath, also known as KK, a successful Indian playback singer most known for his versatility.” They highlighted his remarkable ability to perform in various languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Bengali, Assamese, and Gujarati. The note continued, “On this day in 1996, KK debuted as a playback singer on the song ‘Chhod Aaye Hum’ as a feature in the movie Maachis.”
