Social media has been abuzz ever since two of the world’s most high-profile tech billionaires Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg agreed to a cage fight.

Musk, the owner of Twitter, responded to a tweet with, “I’m up for a cage match if he is lol” on June 21. Zuckerberg, who is the owner of Facebook and Instagram parent company Meta, then posted a screenshot of Musk’s tweet with the caption “send me location”.

Musk then responded with two words: “Vegas Octagon.” He then tweeted: “I have this great move that I call ‘The Walrus,’ where I just lie on top of my opponent and do nothing.”

And now Lex Fridman, a Russian-American computer scientist and podcaster, posted about conducting training sessions with the two billionaires. In a tweet Wednesday, Fridman wrote, “I did an impromptu training session with @elonmusk for a few hours yesterday. I’m extremely impressed with his strength, power, and skill, on the feet and on the ground. It was epic. It’s really inspiring to see Elon and Mark doing martial arts, but I think the world is served far better if they train martial arts but not fight in the cage. That said, as Elon says, the most entertaining outcome is the most likely… I’m there for them, no matter what.”

On June 25, Fridman had posted a video of training jiu jitsu with Zuckerberg, who has been training in that martial art form since 2020. He also posted the full video of the training session on YouTube.

While it is not confirmed if the promised cage fight will actually go through, social media users have been debating about the outcome of the bout. Many have also posted memes, including mocked up posters advertising the fight.

“Lex, you are the only person to ever roll with both Zuck and Musk…so, who do you think would win?” commented a Twitter user. “Imagine the bragging rights of saying that you personally had a 1v1 fight with the richest man in the world,” another person wrote.
