Dubai sheikh’s giant Hummer that is 46 feet long, 21 feet tall makes jaws drop. Watch

An old video of the Dubai sheikh’s giant Hummer towering over regular-sized vehicles on the road is going viral again after it was posted on Twitter. The sheikh’s Hummer H1 X3, as it is called, measures about 46 feet long, 21.6 feet tall and 19 feet wide. The car is fully driveable thanks to diesel engines on each wheel, which also means it has four-wheel-drive.

It was specially commissioned by the sheikh, who is a member of the Emirati royal family with a personal net worth of over US$20 billion.

“On the one hand that looks ridiculous, but on the other hand I absolutely want to take it for a drive!” commented a user. “As an h1 owner I can tell you the maintenance cost on that has got to be astronomical,” said another. “I love how these Arabs spend their money,” wrote a third.

While the modified Hummer’s exterior is a scaled-up version of the original, the car’s interior actually resembles a small house and is spread over two floors. The car apparently even has a living room and toilet as well as the steering cabin on the second floor.

Sheikh Hamad has reportedly around 3,000 vehicles in his personal collection. He got his nickname – the Rainbow Sheikh – because he once commissioned an entire fleet of Mercedes S-class in every colour of the rainbow.

The sheikh also has various car museums, one of which is in Sharjah and is dedicated to off-road vehicles. It houses the giant Hummer H1, the world’s largest running Jeep, the world’s biggest SUV and many more.
