A drunken passenger pulled down his pants and started urinating in the aisle of an Air India flight to Britain much to the shock of the crew and his fellow passengers, according to a news report. The man has been reportedly fined £1,000 for the incident.

Identified as 39-year-old Jinu Abraham, the man was aboard the flight with his 10-year-old son on February 19. Abraham later admitted to being drunk on two whiskies on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, but could not remember his actions. He had become aggressive after drinking alcohol; the crew even refused to serve him any more drinks because he refused to return to his seat, and warned him to mend his behaviour. But to little avail.

All this happened 40 minutes prior to landing, and he was handcuffed and restrained with seat belts till the flight landed and Abraham was arrested. According to the Birminghal Mail, Abraham was fined £1,000; along with a £500 compensation, a victim surcharge of £30 and £185 costs.

“He was shocked and surprised about what was said about his behaviour. He accepts it must have been incredibly upsetting for passengers and crew and possibly frightening for those people on board in that confined environment,” said the report.
