The much-awaited teaser of live-action film Aladdin was recently released during the Grammy Awards and Disney fans were not pleased. While the movie adapts the 1992 animated film of the same name, it is the cast and the CGI that has left many disappointed. Directed by Guy Ritchie, the movie is set to release on May 24.
Many complained about the poor CGI and expressed disappointment over actor Will Smith playing the popular Genie. While some tweeted that the teaser “destroyed” Aladdin for them, others said that the Smith as Genie gave them “nightmares”. “Couldn’t Will Smith just been the voice of the genie? It just looks so out of place here,” read one of the many comments on the post.

I’m sorry but Will Smith as the Genie in #Aladdin is nightmare fuel. Also, he’s just gonna use his regular Will Smith voice?
