Adulthood is a trap and we all know the pains of a job. And when your job demands more than you bargained for– like exposing yourself to explosives — it’s normal to get cold feet. Something similar has happened to Lulu — a black labrador puppy who was in training under the CIA. The one-and-a-half-year-old dog was under the training for a few weeks, before the agency decided to let her go.

Well, she was fired because her trainers noticed she was more interested in chasing and sniffing rabbits and squirrels than a bomb. Well, can you really blame the little one? After all, who wouldn’t prefer to chase and play in the garden instead of searching explosive?

In a blog post, the agency clarified, “For our K9 trainers, it’s imperative that the dogs enjoy the job they’re doing.” They further said that every dog in the initial days has good days and bad days when it is disinterested and for playful Lulu, the latter was outnumbered. “A pup might begin acting lazy, guessing where the odors are, or just showing a general disregard for whatever is being taught at the moment. Usually, it lasts for a day, maybe two.”

However, for some dogs, like Lulu, the “issue isn’t temporary. Instead, this just isn’t the job they are meant for.” Despite being cajoled with food and play, Lulu seemed little motivated and hence he was fired.

Luckily for him, his handlers have adopted him and now he happily enjoys with his kids playing in the backyard.

Happy ending, isn’t it?
