A cat in Colombia is being hailed as a hero after a video emerged of it saving a toddler from falling down a flight of stairs.
Security footage from a Bogota apartment, recorded on October 31, shows the cat looking on as a toddler crawls past its crib, on the way to a doorway that leads to a flight of stairs.
But as soon as the toddler moves closer to the stairs, the cat leaps across the room and hits the toddler with its paws.
The cat quickly blocks the path of the baby, who then slowly backs away from the flight of stairs.
