Watch: Animals from Berlin zoo feed on unsold Christmas trees

Several vendors handed out fresh but unsold Christmas trees to the animals at Berlin's Tierpark zoo. According to local reports, the annual festive treats arrived at the zoo on Friday.

Berlin’s unwanted Christmas trees have ended up being a festive treat for its local zoo animals. According to reports, the once a year treat arrived on Friday at the Tierpark which is one of German capital’s two zoos.

Tierpark Zoo in Berlin shared a video on their Twitter feed showing animals enjoying their annual festive snack. Take a look at the video here:

The Zoo carefully selects only fresh trees, from selected vendors. Household trees are avoided as they might contain chemicals and leftover decorations.
