It’s barely been a month since global cricket fans mocked the Biscuit Trophy for the Pakistan vs Australia T20 series. But if you thought nothing could top that trophy, then the Pakistan Cricket Board has managed to prove you wrong. Unveiling the trophy for the ongoing Test series between New Zealand and Pakistan, the cricket board has revealed a trophy with the giant words ‘Oye Hoye’ on it.

The Oye Hoye Cup 2018 has been sponsored by Brighto Paints. The captains of the two teams, Pakistan’s Sarfraz Ahmed and New Zealand’s Kane Williamson, posed for cameras with the trophy.

As the photos started doing the rounds on social media, Pakistani fans slammed the country’s cricket board for giving in to sponsors when it came to unusual trophies. Some claimed New Zealand might throw the matches just to avoid taking the cup home.

The two teams will be playing three Tests in Abu Dhabi and the first match began on Friday.
