When we get out on the roads, especially in India, we mostly heave a sigh of relief when we reach our destination. The erratic traffic, uncontrollable pedestrians and illegal parking make it a ‘life-or-death’ affair. While most times when we see somebody flouting the traffic rules, people turn a blind eye and go about minding their business, but this bike-rider from Indore decided not to. And in return, he got thrashed up badly by the driver of a four-wheeler who had broken the traffic rules. From trying to frighten him by attempting to roll the vehicle over his bike to beating him up — the men did everything possibly he could, but was met with resilience from the biker. The lesson we learnt? It doesn’t matter if others aren’t standing against wrong, you should. And that not all heroes wear capes.
Uploaded on the Internet by Facebook user Nilav Verma, the video comes attached with a copy of the FIR that was filed against the drivers. The post has meanwhile gone on to garner 1,00,357 shares (at the time of writing) within the time-span of just two days. “World need more people like this rider.. Who dare enough to know the wrong and stand against it till end… Whom ‘will’ can’t be shattered as easily as the wrongdoers think… Highly appreciable initiative, my salute…,” reads his caption for the video.
Indianexpress.com has reached out to Verma, who claims the biker is a brother of his acquaintance, and is awaiting his response.
