Differently-abled artist donates reality show winnings to Kerala CM’s fund on birthday

The painter, who was born without arms, was accompanied by his father Balasubramaniam and mother Swarnakumari to meet the chief minister at the legislative assembly.

Pranav, a differently-abled artist from Kerala, recently won a reality television show met the state’s chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan Wednesday to donate the entire amount for the Chief Minister’s Greivance Redressal & Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF). Now, photos of the meeting are going viral and the artist is being praised.

The painter, who was born without arms, was accompanied by his father Balasubramaniam and mother Swarnakumari to meet the chief minister at the legislative assembly. The Chief Minister’s office shared photos of the interaction, which the chief minister described as “very touching”, on Facebook and Twitter.

According to the Facebook post, the young man is currently pursuing PSC coaching classes after completing his B.Com degree from the Government College in Chittoor, Palakkad.

The chief minister’s office shared images of the young artist interacting with Vijayan and even taking a selfie using his foot at the meeting. Many on social media praised the artist and called him a hero.

After devastating floods in 2018, Kerala was affected by severe rainfall and floods this year. Around 100 people were killed in flood-related incidents.
