For parents, toilet training is one of the hardest lessons to teach their little one. And it is no less difficult when it comes to training their furbabies, say like of cats and dogs. But have any pet owners ever tried to teach their birds how to shit in a proper place? Well, many can argue they don’t move around so can’t show them the direction of the toilet to answer their nature’s call. But cleaning a cage of bird-poop is pretty messy and pet owners can vouch for it. So, tired of that people in Japan are potty training their parrots and we are not kidding.
Behold the discovery made on the Internet, a parrot potty! Yes, potty training your pet bird is real and proud bird parents are posting the photos of their birds doing their business online. Well, what can we say, Internet never ceases to amuse us.
The photos were shared on Twitter on Japan’s unofficial Toilet Day, which falls on November 10. Why November 10? Because in Japanese, the numbers 11 and 10 can be read as ‘ii toire’, meaning “nice toilet,” reports the Japan Times.
Take a look at some of the photos here:

Well, the small dish with a bird-shaped seat attached is made for your parrot to sit and shit. There aren’t any flush or hole, so we guess, the owner still has to clean it, but full marks for being innovative and adorable, so much that it makes us question, have we seen anything related to toilets not so outrightly disgusting? Just to remember there are toilet-themed restaurants that offer food on toilet pots.
