Earlier this year, Google renamed its ‘Nearby Share’ functionality to ‘Quick Share’. Available on Windows, ChromeOS and Android devices, the feature lets users quickly share documents, images, videos and other things between phones, desktops, tablets and more. The functionality works without internet, so you don’t have to worry about running out of mobile data.

The quickest way to find Quick Share on your Android device is by heading over to your phone’s ‘Settings’ app, scrolling down to Google and tapping on ‘Quick Share’. If you are unsure how to share files with your friends or family, here’s how to use Quick Share on your Android device.
