Is it possible to hide WhatsApp photos and videos so nobody else can see them even if they have your phone? Simple answer, yes. Did I hear a sigh of relief? WhatsApp has become an integral part of our life, and in most cases, beyond texting our friends, colleagues and family members.

If you pay attention, you’ll realise our phone’s local storage space is always taken up by the photos and videos we receive from our contacts on a daily basis, and in certain cases, they are just plain embarrassing. No, not just the good morning messages.

In this article, let’s see how to hide those embarrassing photos, videos and in some cases, post-24 hours disappearing stories.

How to hide WhatsApp photos and videos from gallery

Step 1: Go to Google Play Store and install ES File Explorer on your Android smartphone. In case your phone has a file manager installed, you don’t have to install this.

Similarly, you can follow the similar instructions to hide WhatsApp videos, audios and profile pictures.

WhatsApp stories are equally responsible for eating into our storage, at least for 24 hours if you don’t do anything. But in case you want WhatsApp stories to have a permanent place on your phone, here’s how you can download WhatsApp stories without taking screenshots.

Once you have downloaded WhatsApp stories, you can hide the folder where they are stored using the above instructions. A word of caution – this trick may not work with Google Photos.
