NNG has introduced its flagship automotive flagship software called iGOprimo nextgen in India. The company deals with car manufacturers directly and claims to have “70 per cent of the top global car makers as their clients.” In India, Volkswagen and Renault are its clients.
The in-cars navigation solution can be integrated with smartphones as well. iGOprimo nextgen is platform-independent and features an adaptive HMI allowing customization for different hardware, screen size and resolution.
“Our solution is flexible and can be adapted easily according to the needs of OEMs. Flexibility is also present in data entry modes, as iGO primo nextgen supports multimodal data entry, including touch screen, rotary controller, and voice control, as well as a combination of these technologies. Manufacturers are free to choose any combination according to the car model ,” said Péter Bolesza, Vice President of Emerging Markets at NNG.
The company has partnered with Ayana Navigation Solutions (ANS) to deliver the solution in India in the comings weeks.
Apart from the in-car navigation solution, the company has also released its Android and iOS app at Rs. 1,650 and Rs. 1,390, respectively. The company claims that navigation can work in off-line mode as well unless the user opts for live traffic updates. The app will be upgraded quarterly.
The new navigation solution has been localised for Indian roads and offers services like Live Weather, Traffic, Fuel, Parking, Local Search. Armed with voice recognition, the platform supports Indian English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malyalam, Marathi, Gujrati, Kannada, Bengali and Punjabi.
