Even as far back as 1997,William Shatner, aka Captain Kirk, loved to go where few men had ventured before, the Internet, one of the most dangerous spaces to be in at the times, financially speaking.

‘Star Trek’ star William Shatner, who asked for stocks instead of cash when he became pitchman for the Internet travel company Priceline.com in 1997,has made a startling 600 million dollars – thanks to his early decision.

According to The Toronto Sun,Priceline’s shares are currently trading close to 300-dollar apiece. And although the company won’t disclose how many shares Shatner receives,it’s reported to be plenty.

A decade ago during the dot.com bust, the stock was selling for less than 2-dollar a share, reports The New York Post.
