Business in hand

Nokia has raised its operating system from Symbian 3 to the new Symbian Anna, which is equipped with a new browser and virtual keyboard in its latest business smartphone E6.

Nokia has raised its operating system (OS) from Symbian 3 to the new Symbian Anna, which is equipped with a new browser and virtual keyboard in its latest business smartphone E6. Nokia X7 is the other phone that runs on Symbian Anna. With the new touch and type functionality,E6 offers the fun of two distinct phone types: touch and QWERTY.

E6 is a stylish phone with a classy touchscreen and suave QWERTY keypad, similar to Nokia E5,but a lot comfortable and easy to type. The 2.4-inch capacitive touchscreen is protected with gorilla glass and at 640 x 480p resolution offers crystal clear visibility,be it for video playback or video calling. The keys are a little protruded and clearly distinguishable from one another. Other useful dedicated buttons and external slots in E6 include the switch on/off button at the top, screen lock/unlock switch on the right panel along with sound keys, micro SD card slot at the top with a 3.5 mm universal jack, charge slot at the bottom and micro USB on the left panel. The back panel houses an 8 megapixel camera with Flash and a speaker, below which lies a metal lid sheltering a big 1500mAh battery and a SIM slot.

E6 is a business phone with incredible multimedia and social networking options spread on four displays that you can slide through. It boasts of remarkable networking and multimedia choices and supports 3G,Wi-Fi with HSDPA,email client and push mail. With the presence of a front facing camera, the handset enables 3G video calls. One major disappointment in E6 is the same old 680 MHz processor that we saw in E5,which makes it a little sluggish. E6 has 8 GB inbuilt memory and it can be extended to 32 GB through a micro SD card. E6 supports Ovi store and so you can download and use the best of apps on your E6.

E6 has a brilliant 8 MP camera that can shoot high quality 720p high definition videos and sharp images and boasts of multiple features like scene mode, face detection,self-timer,white balance, exposure control, etc. It has a powerful battery that has the option of falling back on low battery mode when the charge is poor. Easy to carry,it syncs with Microsoft Outlook and allows email, calendar entry directly on the home screen. It comes with document editor and is compatible with Microsoft communicator too. Beside the networking tools,it also features in-built social networking apps and the keypad is a great help. In addition to its brilliant in-ear call quality,E6 has a sound speaker that comes good during music playback, video playback, calling and FM.
