All of us talk about affordable phones these days, and not without reason.
But there are a lot of people still buying very expensive, premium phones like the Apple iPhone 6s Plus. But there are not many of these premium phones around and that is where the new Sony Xperia Z5 Premium could make an impact.
In specs, the phone is very similar to the Xperia Z5. But when it comes to looks, this phone is something else. Yes, it has some serious bling value. It is a phone that you will want to use without the cover, just to show that you have something that others can’t afford.
The phone also stands out for having the first 4K screen in a smartphone. One look at the screen and you can be rest assured that this not going to be the first phone with a high-resolution screen. Yes, the 4K screen is stunning, but it does not bring in more than the awe factor. It is almost like a diamond, lot of value, but no real use.
It doesn’t help that the phone is a fingerprint magnet… Something you don’t want to buy if planning a murder. Also, the 4K screen is hard to figure out under harsh sunlight.
4K images look stunning, but they take a slight second to load. It is good that you can shoot 4K videos with the phone and view them in full resolution on the phone itself.
I have done an in-depth review of the Xperia Z and don’t need to go into performance details. Both phones have the same specs, but are differentiated by a Rs 10,000 price tag, which is basically the cost of the 4K screen.
The one impressive thing is that despite the high-resolution screen, the Premium has a similar battery life as its cheaper cousin.
Buy this phone if you want to stand out in the crowd with a phone that is almost like jewelry and has a screen that shines.
Price: Rs 62,990
