In the first half of October, we witnessed the launch of some of the most exciting smartphones of this year, including the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, Oppo Find N3 Flip, and even the Google Pixel 8 Pro series. The second half of the month will also be filled with exciting smartphone launches, especially from top brands.

Here are some of the most anticipated smartphones launching in the next few weeks:

OnePlus Open

OnePlus recently confirmed that its first foldable, the OnePlus Open, will launch on October 19. The company’s maiden foldable is jointly developed by Oppo and OnePlus, featuring signature OnePlus features like the Hasselblad-tuned camera system, an alert slider, and clean OxygenOS with no bloatware. OnePlus’s first foldable is also said to be a premium device and will compete against the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5, which currently sets the benchmark for foldables in India.

According to leaks, the OnePlus Open is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with up to 18 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. The smartphone is also said to be the first device from the company to include a periscope zoom lens and the entire camera setup will be tuned by Hasselblad.

Redmi Note 13 series

Xiaomi recently unveiled its latest Redmi Note 13 series, which consists of models like the Redmi Note 13 and the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ in China. The company is likely to announce these devices soon in India. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is the standout candidate in the lineup, as it’s the first smartphone in the series to feature a curved AMOLED screen and is powered by a capable Mediatek Dimensity 7200 SoC.

The rear panel of the Redmi Note 13 series has been completely redesigned, which now matches the design philosophy and includes three individually placed camera units. The top-of-the-line variant, Redmi Note 13 Pro+ includes a 200 MP primary camera, and it is also the first mid-range Redmi Note series device from the company to offer an IP68 water and dust resistance rating.

Realme GT 5

Realme is likely to announce its performance-oriented GT 5, powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC this month. The smartphone also boasts an interesting set of hardware, including a large 5,300 mAh battery with support for up to 150W fast charging. The phone also features a unique lighting system on the back that highlights the use of Qualcomm’s flagship chip.

Xiaomi 14

Xiaomi recently announced that its upcoming Xiaomi 14 will be the first smartphone to launch with the new HyperOS. According to leaks, the smartphone is based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and is likely to include a Leica-tuned camera setup, similar to its predecessor, the Xiaomi 13.

As per the leaks, the Xiaomi 14 is said to be one of the first phones to launch with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. With new features and added customisation options, the Xiaomi 14 is likely to offer a unique user experience when compared to the previous Xiaomi smartphones.
